Concept Ethnique’s furniture, antiques, art objects and designs have been featured in numerous design magazines throughout Europe. In April 1999, Maison Francaise described Concept Ethnique as “mixing talent and originality with traditional crafts (furniture, textiles), masks, antiques, statues, and contemporary decorative objects.” Schoner Wohnen Decoration featured Aline Matsika and her design concepts in its May 1999 issue. Concept Ethnique is also praised on its recovery of French style furniture in traditional materials. In March 1999, Maisons Cote Sud devoted a major article to Ms. Matsika and Concept Ethnique. Her home was filmed in 1999 by TVA DECO.

After conquering the French Market, Aline opened Mosaic LLC in November 2000: a New-York-City-based company along the same signature as Concept Ethnique. Serving also as a boutique showroom, her office was located on 49 Greene Street until it moved to 54 Greene Street in January 2006. On January 04, 2001, The New York Times highlighted and photographed Mosaic’s textile concepts in its design section, recognizing her creative genius. Mosaic has also been featured in the Tribeca Tribune, Architectural Digest, and House and Garden.

In addition to running her New York and Paris based companies, Aline also demonstrates expertise in interior design consultation. She found her passion in interior design in 1997 when she was designing her own apartment in Paris. It was subsequently published in Residence Decoration (February 2000). Since then her interior spaces have been published in Maison Object (November 2001) and Lux Decoration (February 2002).

From 2007 to 2011, Aline has focused mainly on Interior Design services. By infusing her own diverse background into timeless living spaces, she is honored for her eclectic style in designing various and multiple high-end apartments and houses in Manhattan, NYC and Upstate New York. Her portfolio showcases an extensive record of accomplishments and a process on how she grows exponentially to the current renowned interior designer.

In May 2011 she was the finalist on the 2011 Innovation award design. In November 2011, she was selected to participate to the Holiday House 2011, where she distinct herself by designing one of the most remarkable room of the entire fundraising event. Her room was filming on CBS at the Open House NYC on December 4th, 2011.
